Inspiren is now an approved continuing education (CE) provider through the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN). It's a first for Inspiren and a new way to support the nurse leaders who keep senior living communities safe. Registered nurses can now earn continuing education contact hours through eligible Inspiren courses, beginning with our first course Care with Confidence.

The California Board of Registered Nursing approves continuing education providers, rather than individual courses. Nurses who complete an approved Inspiren course earn contact hours they can apply toward license renewal. In California alone, that requirement is significant: RNs must complete 30 contact hours of continuing education every two-year renewal period.

The course uses realistic resident scenarios and practical decision-making, so the learning maps directly to resident care— connecting to the challenges nurses encounter in senior living. Participants learn how to recognize early clinical warning signs, interpret trends within Inspiren, and translate insights into timely interventions.
By the end of the course, participants can:
- Identify resident patterns and clinical warning signs that may indicate an increased risk of falls, hospitalization, or other adverse outcomes.
- Interpret resident trends and available clinical insights to prioritize nursing assessment and appropriate interventions.
- Apply data-informed quality-improvement strategies to strengthen response processes, care planning, and interdisciplinary communication.
Provider approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number 18208 for 1.0 contact hour. There is no fee to participate; therefore, refunds are not applicable.
