Inspiren and August Health: Keeping Resident Context Current and Actionable
Connecting the August Health EHR to real-time awareness across senior living communities with Inspiren

Senior living teams rely on more systems than ever, but when those systems don’t stay in sync, gaps emerge in both workflows and care. Inspiren’s integration with August Health closes the gap between resident data and resident safety – allowing care teams to focus on care, not recordkeeping.
How it works
August Health is the system of record for senior living care — where communities manage health records, care plans, medications, incident documentation, and the operational data that drives billing and staffing. Inspiren is the unified ecosystem that translates what's happening across a community into actionable clinical insight, combining AI-powered awareness with a dedicated Clinical Success Team of RNs and PTs.
For that awareness to be meaningful, Inspiren needs to know which resident is in which room, and that information needs to be accurate the moment something changes.
The integration automatically syncs resident census data from August Health to Inspiren each day, including three key data points: resident ID, resident name, and room assignment. This foundational context ensures every alert and insight is tied to the right resident.
As a result:
- New residents are automatically created in Inspiren
- Room transfers are reflected immediately
- Discharges are updated without manual work
Care teams no longer need to maintain a separate roster in Inspiren or reconcile between systems.
Starting with accurate census data as the foundation
Inspiren's ecosystem works across the full community, surfacing changes in resident behavior and conditions that might otherwise go unnoticed until they escalate or become a crisis. But that awareness is only meaningful when it's tied to the right person.
This becomes especially critical when staff attention is already stretched. By automatically keeping census data up to data, the integration ensures coverage is sustainable without adding the burden of more manual work.
When a resident transfers rooms or a new admission comes through, the last thing a nursing team needs is a manual data task in a separate system. Keeping that resident context current in Inspiren without additional data entry means the monitoring workflows are tied to the right person, in the right room. That's a small but meaningful reduction in administrative load for nurses.

Built to the standard resident care requires
Inspiren is built on the belief that technology should enable resident dignity and strong clinical outcomes, not create new administrative burdens for the teams delivering care. That standard extends to how we build integrations and select our partners.
August Health shares our belief that resident data has to be trustworthy before it can be useful and that the teams relying on it shouldn't have to think about whether it's current. That shared standard is what makes this integration meaningful beyond the technical mechanics.
What’s next for August Health and Inspiren
This integration is the first step in an ongoing partnership between Inspiren and August Health.
Today, August Health sends resident context to Inspiren, but both teams are already building toward closing the loop in the other direction — unlocking a fully bidirectional data flow that will keep both systems synchronized, reduce duplicative documentation, and ensure that what's recorded always reflects what actually happens in the room.
True bidirectionality means neither system is the source of truth in isolation, but rather, they create a complete record of care that reduces documentation burden, eliminates gaps, and gives care teams actionable insights that they can embed into their clinical workflows.
Every gap between systems is a place where a resident's need can go unmet. Integrating with August Health closes one of those gaps, ensuring that when a resident moves in, transfers rooms, or discharges, Inspiren reflects that immediately. This type of data flow is how Inspiren becomes embedded into the daily clinical workflows across communities, reducing the administrative burden on care teams and giving leadership one less system to reconcile.
