Inspiren and August Health: Closing the Loop on Falls Documentation

A fall is one of the most consequential events in senior living. How it's documented and reviewed shapes everything that follows: clinical response, family conversations, regulatory reporting, and future care planning. Yet, for care teams, getting that documentation into the right place still requires manual steps across multiple systems, often during the most time-sensitive moments of care.
That changes with validated falls documentation from Inspiren and August Health.
What's new
Inspiren and August Health have deepened their integration with a validated falls push: when a fall is detected by Inspiren, it is automatically pushed to August Health, and appears in the resident's Incidents section and under their profile, with no manual entry required.
Every pushed incident also includes an Inspiren Event Review link that takes the reviewer directly back to that specific event in Inspiren. The clinical record and the supporting context, including event details and review data, are one click apart from inside the EHR where care teams are already working.
How it works
When a resident falls and that fall is labeled “validated” in Inspiren HQ, the integration automatically:
- Creates an incident in August Health under the resident's profile
- Logs it in the Incidents section with the relevant fall details
- Attaches an Event Review link connecting back to the exact incident in Inspiren for review
The result is a connected record that requires no manual reconciliation between systems, which gives care teams the documentation they need, when and where they need it.
Why it matters
Care teams live in their EHR. When critical data stays siloed in a separate system, it creates reconciliation work for staff who are already at capacity and increases the chance that important context gets lost between systems.
Getting a validated fall into August Health the moment it's confirmed means that:
- The incident record exists where care teams are already documenting and coordinating care
- Documentation burden drops at the moment it's most acute, right after a fall event
- Leadership and clinical staff can review the Event Review link directly from the August Health incident, with no need to separately locate the event in Inspiren
- The EHR stays current without a manual documentation
This type of integration is designed to reduce friction at the point of care, ensuring technology supports workflow rather than adding to it. Inspiren’s ecosystem becomes embedded naturally into daily clinical operations, not as an additional system to manage, but as a connected layer that keeps records accurate, timely, and actionable.

FAQ
What is the Validated Falls Push?
When a fall is confirmed as “validated” in Inspiren HQ, it is automatically sent to August Health, where it appears in the resident's Incidents section and profile. No manual entry required.
What information is included in the pushed incident?
Each incident includes the fall details captured in Inspiren HQ and an Event Review link that takes the reviewer directly to that specific event in Inspiren for clinical review.
Who can access this feature?
Any community actively using both Inspiren and August Health is eligible. It is not auto-enabled — each community opts in based on their preference.
How do we get it turned on?
Reach out to your Inspiren contact and let them know you'd like to enable it. They'll confirm your preference and activate the feature for your community.
Does this replace manual fall documentation?
It eliminates the step of re-entering a validated fall into August Health after it's confirmed in Inspiren. Communities should follow their existing documentation protocols for any additional required fields within their EHR.
What does "validated" mean?
A fall is labeled “validated” in Inspiren HQ once it has been reviewed and confirmed as a true fall event — as opposed to a non-fall movement alert. Only confirmed falls trigger the push to August Health.
Will this work for all fall events, or only certain types?
Only falls labeled "validated" trigger the integration. Unreviewed or non-validated events are not pushed.
